Frequently asked questions

Answers for fans buying presales and artists uploading releases on OnePress.

About OnePress

What is OnePress?
OnePress is a UK presale platform for independent artists and labels, built around no minimum order vinyl pressing. You list a release, fans preview your tracks, pre-order the vinyl, and can add optional merchandise (t-shirts, posters, stickers, slipmats, digital downloads) from the same page. OnePress is part of the SoundOnShape.com Ltd group.
Is there a minimum order for vinyl pressing?
No — OnePress is designed for artists who need vinyl pressed without committing to a large minimum run. You presell through monthly production batches instead of ordering hundreds of copies upfront. Merchandise is optional and sold alongside the same release when you enable it at upload.
Do I need an account to buy?
No. Fans can browse, listen to previews, add items to the basket, and pay through Stripe Checkout without creating a OnePress login. Your name, email, and shipping details are collected securely by Stripe at checkout.

For fans & buyers

How purchasing works on the site.

How do I buy a vinyl presale?
Open a release on the home page, listen to the preview tracks, and use Buy to add the vinyl to your basket. Each presale vinyl is £29.95 and includes a minimum 140g record, full-colour album sleeve, and disco insert. Complete checkout from the basket page.
Can I buy merchandise without the vinyl?
Merchandise is offered alongside a vinyl presale for that release. When you add vinyl to your basket, you can tick optional extras (t-shirts, posters, stickers, slipmats, digital downloads) on the presale card or on the basket page before checkout.
How do digital downloads work?
If the artist enabled a digital download, you can add it for a fixed £10.00 per copy. After payment, a magic link is emailed to the address you enter at Stripe checkout. The link is valid for 7 days and downloads all release tracks as a ZIP file.
How do t-shirt colour and size work?
The artist uploads the print artwork when they list the release. On each presale card, open a size (S, M, or L) to pick black or white and how many of each — for example 2× white M and 4× black S. Your basket lists each size and colour as its own line.
How do poster sizes work?
If the artist offers posters, you pick a size at purchase. Minimum fan prices set by the platform are A3 £10.00, A2 £14.00, A1 £21.00; the artist may charge more. Sizes are A3, A2, and A1.
How do sticker packs work?
If the artist offers stickers, they use the album artwork. You pick size S or L and how many packs you want. Fan prices are S £25.00 and L £35.00 per pack of 50. Each pack contains 50 stickers.
Are slipmats available to buy?
Artists can flag slipmats when they upload a release. You may see them listed as extras, but fan pricing and checkout for slipmats are still being rolled out.
How do I pay?
Checkout is handled by Stripe. You are redirected to Stripe’s secure payment page from your basket. Card and wallet options depend on what Stripe enables for your region.
What appears in my basket?
Each line shows the release artwork, title, artist, vinyl quantity and price, and any merchandise you selected. If the artist offered more merch, the basket may show a section to add t-shirts, posters, stickers, or slipmats before you pay.

For artists & creators

Uploading releases and tracking sales in the Creator portal.

Creator portal — sales & analytics

How do I list a presale?
Go to Upload a presale, enter your name and email, title, artist name, album artwork, and at least one preview track (Side A and/or Side B — up to 5 tracks and 20 minutes per side). Optionally add a bio and merchandise. Submit when everything is complete.
What is the vinyl presale price?
All presale vinyl on OnePress is currently £29.95 per copy. That price is set by the platform, not per release.
What do I earn on vinyl presales?
You receive £2.00 per vinyl unit sold. Merchandise earnings follow the 70/30 margin split described in the merchandise earnings section.
How do I see my sales?
Sign in to the Creator portal with the same email you used when uploading. You’ll receive a magic link by email. The portal shows units sold and revenue by month for your releases.

Open Creator portal (sales & analytics)

Who can sign in as a creator?
Only the email address registered on a presale can request a creator magic link. If you uploaded under an address, use that address on the Creator page.
Do I need to hold stock or ship orders myself?
No. When a fan orders vinyl or merchandise from your presale, OnePress fulfils the order and sends it direct to them at the address they provide at checkout. You do not need to buy stock upfront, store inventory, pack parcels, or run your own mailout — upload your release, share the presale, and track sales in the Creator portal.

Creator earnings on merchandise

Referenced when you set t-shirt or poster prices at upload.

What does “70% of the sale margin” mean?
For merchandise you offer fans, your earnings are based on the margin on each sale — the fan price minus fulfilment and platform costs (printing, materials, packing, payment processing, and operations). You receive 70% of that margin; OnePress retains 30% to run production and the site. Exact amounts depend on the fan price you set and the item type. For example, a t-shirt set at £18 would equate to: £18 sale to fan minus £10 garment print cost = £8 margin, of which you receive 70% — which is £5.60.
What can I charge for t-shirts?
Upload print artwork (PNG, JPEG, WebP, or SVG, at least 1024×1024px). Set a fan price from £18.00 upward — you may charge more. Printing is on mid- to heavyweight 100% cotton. Fans choose black or white and S/M/L at checkout.
What can I charge for posters?
Upload artwork with a border/bleed of at least 20px so nothing important is cropped in production. Minimum upload size at 300 DPI depends on which sizes you enable: A3 3508×4961px, A2 4961×7016px, A1 7016×9933px (portrait or landscape). Enable sizes with fan prices at or above platform minimums (A3 £10.00, A2 £14.00, A1 £21.00). You may increase any price above the minimum.
What can I charge for digital downloads?
Enable digital download on upload — no separate file needed. OnePress zips the tracks you upload on Side A and Side B automatically when a fan downloads. Fan price is fixed at £10.00 per download. Your share follows the same 70/30 margin split described above. Fans receive a download link by email after payment; links expire after 7 days.
How do minimum prices relate to what I earn?
Minimum fan prices (£18.00 t-shirts; posters from £10.00 for A3) are floors — not your payout. Your share is calculated from the margin after costs at the price you choose. Higher fan prices generally mean higher margins and higher creator earnings, subject to the 70/30 split on that margin.

Creator payouts

How and when you get paid for presale sales.

Creator portal — sales & analytics

When do creators get paid?
OnePress pays creators on demand every month. After your presale sales are reconciled for the period, you can request your earnings and we transfer your share by bank transfer (or another agreed method). There is no need to invoice for each individual fan order — we track your total sales and pay you in one monthly payout when you are ready to be paid. By PayPal, direct transfer, or postal cheque (UK only).
How much will I be paid?
Your payout is based on your accrued earnings — £2.00 per vinyl unit sold plus any merchandise margin you are due (see the 70/30 merchandise split in the earnings section). The Creator portal shows units sold and accrued earnings by month so you can see what has built up before you request payment. Contact Support@onepress.uk when you want a monthly payout processed.
Is there a record of what I have already been paid?
Yes. OnePress keeps an internal ledger of each payout we make to you. When you contact us for a monthly payout, we reconcile your total earnings to date against what has already been sent so you are never paid twice for the same sales.

Upload & file requirements

What preview audio can I upload?
Use Side A and/or Side B. Each side supports up to 5 tracks and 20 minutes total. Previews help fans discover your release before they buy.
What artwork do I need for the vinyl listing?
Provide square album artwork (1×1 ratio), at least 3000×3000px, as JPEG or PNG for best results. This image appears on the presale card and vinyl sleeve.
What if I only want some merchandise types?
On upload, tap the merchandise icons you want (t-shirts, stickers, posters, slipmats, digital download). T-shirts and posters need extra setup in their modals. Stickers use your album artwork — choose S and/or L in the sticker modal. Slipmats need separate circular artwork — For best results, upload circular art at 1024×1024 minimum. Digital download uses your Side A and Side B tracks.

Orders, fulfilment & support

When is my card charged?
Payment is taken when you complete Stripe Checkout. Your basket is cleared after a successful redirect to Stripe.
How do presale runs work?
Releases are grouped into monthly production runs. Fulfilment timing depends on the run your order joins; OnePress will communicate dispatch through order confirmation and support channels as processes are finalized. Please be aware there is a minimum wait time of up to 7–8 weeks for any vinyl fulfilment — this is made up of the run month plus 4 weeks to press the vinyl. Other merchandise may be fulfilled quicker.
Who receives and ships orders?
All orders are sent direct to fans. OnePress handles production, packing, and dispatch to the shipping address entered at Stripe checkout — not to the artist. That means creators do not need to hold or process inventory; fans receive their vinyl and merchandise straight from fulfilment.
How do I get help?
